I finally fulfilled the long-awaited journey to Santa Fe, NM. A destination often whispered about by friends and now deeply cherished as an annual besties’ Satsang getaway. The anticipation of exploring this enchanting town alongside fellow artists had only heightened the excitement.

The Adobe:
Our decision to stay in two different homes turned out to be a stroke of brilliance, allowing us to immerse ourselves in varied landscapes and aesthetics.

When we walked into Casa Colibrí, nestled within the picturesque Pueblo Encantado community, it felt as though time had momentarily stood still. We all seemed to share a collective skip of the heart as the beauty of the space unfolded before us a rustic yet contemporary sanctuary tucked in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.
As an artist yearning to refill my creative bowl before the demands of teaching resumed, this retreat felt like a necessity. The adobe home something new to me embraced Santa Fe’s timeless charm with its thoughtful, recent renovation. Every corner whispered stories of tradition laced with modernity, inviting us to slow down and reconnect with what nature had to offer.

The air, crisp and pure, felt undeniably inspirational, while the earthy scent carried by the high elevation grounded us in the present. Surrounded by such natural splendor, I found deep solace and renewal my senses refreshed by the warmth of the interiors and the majesty of the land outside.
Yes, I confess… I was utterly smitten.

Thanks to our loyal three-legged assistant (tripod), Michael’s iPhone did the honors!
